San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - De'End Parker scored a career-high 31
points as the San Francisco Dons made easy work of the Columbia Lions, 79-59,
as part of the San Francisco Hilltop Challenge at War Memorial Gymnasium.
Parker shot 12-of-18 from the field and added three steals for the Dons (3-1).
Cody Doolin netted 13 points, while Cole Dickerson tallied a double-double
with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
For Columbia (4-2), Grant Mullins scored 14 points, but he was the only player
to score in double figures. Brian Barbour logged nine points, six assists, and
three steals, but he was plagued by five turnovers.
San Francisco got out to a comfortable 40-27 lead at intermission behind 50
percent field goal shooting in the opening 20 minutes.
The Dons actually improved their shooting after the break (52.2 percent) as
they kept their double-digit lead throughout the second half.
Columbia shot just 17-of-48 from the field on the night (.354), and it lost
the rebounding battle, 40-28.
