Tucson, AZ (Sports Network) - Nick Johnson scored 18 points to lead the
Arizona Wildcats to a 70-61 win over the Utah Utes in a Pac-12 tilt at the
McKale Center.
Kyle Fogg added 17 points and six steals in the win for Arizona (18-8, 9-4
Pac-12), while Solomon Hill and Brendon Lavender tallied 14 and 12 points,
respectively.
The duo of Jason Washburn and Cedric Martin netted 15 points apiece to lead
the way for Utah (5-20, 2-11). Chris Hines chipped in 11 points, while Dijon
Farr pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds in a losing effort.
A cold-shooting first half that saw Arizona hit just 33.3 percent of its
attempts from the floor enabled the Utes to take a 33-25 lead into the break.
The Wildcats came together in the second frame, however, converting 52.0
percent from the floor to go with a 12-of-14 effort at the foul line to earn a
nine-point decision.
The Utes were guilty of a game-high 15 giveaways during the contest.
