Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Jeff Jones scored a game-high 19 points
to lead the Rider Broncs to a 90-55 victory over the Saint Peter's Peacocks in
Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Alumni Gymnasium.
Novar Gadson added 13 points as Rider (8-14, 5-5 MAAC) won its second game in
a row. Anthony Myles netted 12 points and Eddie Mitchell had 10 points. Daniel
Stewart and Brandon Penn each grabbed 10 rebounds.
Yvon Raymond came off the bench to lead Saint Peter's (4-17, 3-7) with 13
points. Chris Prescott and Chris Burke each chipped in 11 points while Blaise
Ffrench handed out eight assists and pulled down six rebounds.
The Broncs took a 35-24 advantage into the intermission after they shot 43.5
percent from the field and made 13-of-15 from the charity stripe in the
opening period. Saint Peter's made 30.3 percent of its field goals and just 1-
of-10 from beyond the arc in the first half.
The Peacocks improved their field goal accuracy to 38.7 percent after the
break, but Rider poured in 54.3 percent of its attempts from the field in the
final 20 minutes to run away with the victory.
The Broncs held a dominant 46-30 advantage in the rebounding battle and made
26-of-31 from the free throw line en route to the win.
