My thoughts and prayers go out to the families that have been affected by this and to all the people that have lost their lives way too soon! Las Vegas I love you and stand with you.”

Kris Bryant, whose Chicago Cubs will face the Nationals in the NLDS, also is from Las Vegas. He took to Twitter as well to offer his support to the victims.

Bryant tweeted, "Heartbroken to see what has happened in my hometown. Grateful that my family & friends are safe. Thoughts and prayers to all those affected."
