The Cowboys were featured in the NFL's first preseason game (USA TODAY SPORTS IMAGES)
RICHMOND, Va. (WUSA) -- I will be completely honest: I only had Sunday night's Hall of Fame game between the Cowboys and Dolphins on in the background. The only play I really remember is the Dallas linebacker returning an interception for a touchdown.
But I was curious, how many Redskins players tuned in? Because it was the Cowboys, did they care a little more? The answers may surprise you:
Kyle Shanahan - "Nope."
Tom Compton - "No I didn't. Shark week, come on!."
DJ Gomes - "Just a little bit."
Darrel Young - "Of course I watched. It was exciting because it's football and also I wanted to see the Cowboys 4-3 defense."
Dez Briscoe - "I did watch. I thought [the Cowboys] actually looked good. The 4-3 is a new look for them."
Donte Stallworth - "I should have watched. I didn't though. I wanted to check out my boy Anthony Armstrong."
Chris Baker - "It was a regular preseason game. Lots of mistakes."
Rob Jackson - "I watched a little, but not much."
Richard Crawford - "It was a pretty good game. The Cowboys have a lot of play makers."
Eric Kettani - "No."
Pierre Garcon - "No I didn't watch. The Cowboys had nothing to do with it. It's just preseason."
Brian Orakpo - "No."
Chase Minnifield - "Yes, I did. Typical preseason game."
Brandon Jenkins - "Yes, it was pretty boring (laughs)."
Jordan Reed - "No."
Ron Brace - 'Yeah, I actually thought it was kind of a good game."
Devery Henderson - "No."
Bryan Kehl -"No."
Chris Thompson - "Yes."
Brandon Meriweather - "No, not this time."
Perry Riley - "Bits and pieces."
Pat White - Yeah I watched. It was the first preseason game you could tell they were trying to get some of the jitters out. I can't wait to go out and play."
So 10 players did not watch it all and 12 at least watched some of the game. I don't blame those who didn't watch.
