Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony left
the team's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday and will not
return.
In the second quarter, Anthony tripped over his own feet and as he fell to the
ground, his knee bent awkwardly. He got up immediately under his own power,
but went straight to the locker room.
His status will updated as more information becomes available.
Anthony came into the contest tied with Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant as the
league's top scorer, averaging 28.6 points per game. He had six points on 1-
for-5 shooting before exiting with the injury.
