Story & Reporting By Dave Owens, WUSA 9

Thirty minutes before game time and head coach Scott Allen is not just preparing his Paul VI girls' basketball team to face Bishop O'Connell, he's also taking steps to market his team to the outside world.

Consider it a convergence of 21st century technology and Panther power! About a month ago, the school got the idea to stream its games lives. All it takes is a camera, headsets, laptop computer and an internet connection, and the school can transmit its games to the outside world.  Family members as far away as Albuquerque, New Mexico are logging on to watch.

"My father is from Fair Haven, Vermont and he just got the Internet," said Allen laughing. "He just learned how to operate a microwave last year. Now he's using an iPad to watch our games at night."

But it's not just family, recruiters were amongst the two thousand who logged on to the school's website to view games in January.

"I had three coaches call me just yesterday and ask about our players because they saw it on the U-Stream," says Allen.

However they're viewing the Lady Panthers, live or online, fans, family and recruiters are seeing a juggernaut.  The Panthers are currently 25-3 and later this season will vie for their seventh straight Virginia Independent School title.
