LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA) - The Washington Redskins are going to the playoffs.
Washington defeated the Dallas Cowboys 28-18 on Sunday night to clinch the NFC East title and punch their ticket to the playoffs. This is the teams' first trip to the playoffs in five years.
Dallas Cowboy Quarterback Tony Romo had two touchdown passes, but he also threw three interceptions. The first two picks came in the first quarter, while the third came in the fourth quarter with the Cowboys trailing by three.
The Redskins were led by running back Alfred Morris, who finished with 200 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Quarterback Robert Griffin III added a touchdown run as well.
The Redskins will now host the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in the first round of the NFC playoffs.
