Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger will
be out of action indefinitely with left knee soreness, the team reported on
Tuesday.
The Pacers' official Twitter feed said "Granger will get a second opinion and
once that is received an update will be provided."
Granger injured a tendon in his left knee in the team's second-round playoff
loss last season to the Miami Heat. He aggravated the injury in off-season
workouts.
Granger, an All-Star in the 2008-09 season and the team's leading scorer the
last five seasons, received a plasma injection on the injured knee in
September and thought he could play through the pain. He played in the Pacers'
final two preseason games.
The Pacers open their season in Toronto on Wednesday night.
