Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Blake Griffin poured in a game-high 23
points and the Los Angeles Clippers held off the Utah Jazz, 96-94, in
preseason action on Wednesday at Staples Center.
DeAndre Jordan registered a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds,
while Jamal Crawford added 18 points off the bench for the Clippers, who
improved to 2-2 in the preseason.
Randy Foye led Utah with 17 points and Enes Kanter chipped in 14 points and
nine boards as the Jazz fell to 3-2 in the preseason.
Utah held a comfortable 48-34 edge at halftime, but the Clippers stormed back
in the third to take a 68-64 lead heading into the final frame.
A 3-pointer from Alec Burks pulled the Jazz even at 92-92 with a minute
remaining, but Crawford converted on a three-point play on the next possession
to help the Clippers hold on for the victory.
