WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgan is a soft-spoken guy -- literally you can barely hear him when he speaks to the media.

But on Wednesday the embattled receiver stood tall to questions, and offered some interesting commentary following his boneheaded play in Sunday's loss to the Rams.

It's hard not to feel sorry for the guy, who described the criticism from fans as outrageous -- an example of one tweet is pasted below.

"Of course I heard everything. Especially, you know, when they got you on Twitter. Death threats and wishing bad things to my family, your first born and things like that," said Morgan.

"You see it all and hear it all. You don't have a choice but to see it all and hear it all. You never let it get it you, especially with me being from D.C."

Morgan later said fans online treated him like San Francisco wide receiver Kyle Williams last year, who notably was shaken from all the hate he received after botching a few plays in the NFC championship game.

The 27-year-old also revealed that he was fined by the NFL for his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Sunday, but he didn't remember the amount.

"None of us are dumb enough to make the same mistakes twice," added Morgan, on if he learned his lesson.
