ST. LOUIS (USA TODAY) -- Robert Griffin III, who has an endorsement deal with Adidas, didn't flash the Nike logo yesterday during his pregame warm-up in St. Louis.
The rookie quarterback of the Washington Redskins wore a plain, short-sleeved gray t-shirt over a long-sleeved white top as he tossed the ball around before facing the Rams in the Edward Jones Dome.
Before the Redskins' season opener in New Orleans, Griffin wore a white, long-sleeved Nike compression shirt during warm-ups. The trademarked Nike logo on the upper left area of his chest was obscured by the word "heart" lettered in black marker.
Nike became the official uniform provider of the NFL this season, replacing Reebok.
Last week, ESPN quoted an NFL spokesman as saying Griffin's display of the obscured Nike logo "won't happen again."
