WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The Rams defeated the Redskins Sunday 31-28 in St. Louis behind three touchdown passes from Quarterback Sam Bradford.
The Redskins kicked off the game with a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage via the defense. Cornerback Josh Wilson picked up a Rams fumble and returned it for a touchdown to give Washington a 7-0 lead.
The Rams responded on the very next drive and hit a field goal to trim the lead to 7-3.
The Redskins led the whole first half and the Rams took their first lead of the game with just over 10 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter, 23-21.
Robert Griffin III, who finished 20-29 for 206 yards through the air, made the score 28-23 Redskins in the third quarter with a 7-yard touchdown run, his second rushing TD of the day.
That lead was short-lived, though, as the Rams scored the game's final points with 14:55 left in the fourth quarter on Bradford's third TD toss.
Redskins Kicker Billy Cundiff missed a 62-yard Field Goal with under two minutes left that would have tied the game.
Next week the Redskins take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
