WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- I haven't blogged about Bryce Harper in awhile. Besides Sunday's destruction of his baseball bat, Harper has been relatively quiet at the plate and off the field.
The rookies average was .283 on July 5th but has since dipped to .257. And in his last 33 games, Harper has smacked only two home runs. But hey, the Nats are still winning games.
Harper made a tiny splash Monday in Houston, by debuting his new camouflage Under Armour cleats. The high-top style is a personal favorite. If Under Armour makes these available, I may have to purchase them for my softball playing days.
Of course, Harper wore gold cleats during July's All-Star game. And there was the 'Suns out, Guns out' tank top last week.
Expect a few more fashion statements from Harper during the 2012 season.
