Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers reportedly added
another small forward to the mix on Tuesday, trading for Golden State's
Dorell Wright.
Philly.com cited a league source in declaring the Wright acquisition in
exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.
The 6-foot-7 Wright is in the final year of his contract that will pay him
$4.4 million this season, and he is coming off a solid campaign that saw him
average 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest. He posted 16.4 points per
game during the 2010-2011 season.
This was a cap-clearing move for Golden State, which will shed $4 million in
salary cap space and still has to sign its first-round draft pick Harrison
Barnes.
