Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Suns and forward Michael Beasley
have reportedly come to terms on a three-year, $18 million contract.
ESPN reported terms of the deal.
Beasley averaged 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 47 games for the Timberwolves
last season. The second overall pick by Miami in 2008, Beasley was traded two
years later to Minnesota. He's averaged 15.1 point and 5.6 rebounds over his
career.
Although free agent deals cannot become official until July 11, when the NBA
lifts the free agency signing moratorium, the Suns continued to make news on
Wednesday.
They also have reportedly agreed to a sign-and-trade deal to send All-Star
point guard Steve Nash to the Los Angeles Lakers for a pair of first-round
draft picks and two second-round selections.
