WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- This amazing haircut/story is via KABB-TV in San Antonio.
Redheaded middle schooler Patrick Gonzalez has always loved the Spurs. This postseason, he thought he'd truly show his dedication to the team by having his favorite player, fellow redhead Matt Bonner, shaved into the back of his head. What a damn good job by the hairstylist, I might add.
Funny style antics and team spirit is what middle school used to be all about. How can you not appreciate this kid's enthusiasm?
Appallingly, some teachers and administrators at the Woodlake Hills Middle School aren't buying into Gonzalez's antics. His haircut has been called a "distraction" and the school is all-but forcing Gonzalez to get rid of it, or face repercussions.
As someone who has shaved something into the back of my head as a teenager, Gonzalez has my full support. Middle school administrators are ridiculous power-hungry pieces of you know what. Someone needs to inform the Spurs about this scenario and get the kid some tickets to an upcoming game.
