
WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- A climate change demonstration tied up traffic in downtown DC Monday morning. The protesters near the U.S. Chamber of Commerce demonstrated before the Climate Conference scheduled for December 6th in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Protester Michael Connors, says, "We need to put people before profits and protect our children."
The demonstrators also planned on stopping in front of the local offices of the world's major oil and gas companies, such as British Petroleum and Conoco Phillips.
