COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA) - Prince Georges county police are investigating the death of a person whose body was discovered in a wooded area near College Park Wednesday morning.
A citizen first notified University of Maryland Police about the body, and they then alerted county police shortly after 10:30 a.m. Police say the victim is an adult male, who was found in a wooded area in the 8100 block of Baltimore Avenue, which is Route 1.
County police homicide investigators were called to the scene, but a police spokesman told 9NEWS NOW that the initial indication was that no foul play was involved, and it may have been the body of homeless man who died in the woods.
