DURANGO, Colo. (CNN) -- The city council in Durango, Colorado got a very unexpected visitor at its meeting this week.
In the middle of the public meeting, someone in a chicken suit strutted in.
The visitor hammed it up for the council and the camera -- then sat down.
It happened while the mayor was talking about a recently passed ordinance allowing residents to keep fowl in their backyards.
The council found the stunt amusing, but had to go into a closed session when they couldn't contain their laughter.
As the public was leaving, the chicken walked to the front and left an egg on the floor.
No one has been able to figure out who was in the chicken suit.
