Arlington Police Make Arrest In Attempted Carjacking

ARLINGTON, Va (WUSA)-- Arlington Police have arrested a suspect wanted in an attempted carjacking.  9NEW NOW has learned that 37-year-old Stefen Jerome Farmer of Hyattsville, Maryland turned himself in early Friday morning.

On Wednesday morning a 64-year-old male victim was getting into his parked car in the 2400 block of South Glebe Road when Farmer implied he had a weapon and demanded the car keys. A struggle ensued and the suspect assaulted the victim.  Farmer fled the scene in his original vehicle.  The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

Farmer is being held without bond on a felony Attempted Carjacking charge.
