Two Shot, One Killed In Northeast Shooting

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- DC police are investigating a double shooting in Northeast DC that has left one man dead.

Police tell 9NEWS NOW officers responded to the 1100 block of 21st Street shortly after midnight after being alerted to gunfire in the area by a device that detects the sound of gunshots. Once officers arrived on scene they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds in two locations.

One of men was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The second victim was found suffering from a single gun shot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.

Right now police have no information on possible suspects or motive in the shooting.
