
INDIAN HEAD, Md. (WUSA) -- One man was killed and another man injured when shots were fired in the
parking lot of a Charles County restaurant early Saturday morning.
Captain Robert Cleaveland of the Charles County Sheriff's Office said a man began firing a handgun during
an argument at 1:15 a.m. in the parking lot of the Mattawoman Restaurant in Indian Head. One man was
taken to the Fort Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Another man, who was not involved in the argument, was struck by an apparent stray shot while sitting in
a nearby car. He was flown to Prince George's Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not release the identities of the victims. No arrests have been made and the investigation is
continuing.
