TRIANGLE, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County Police say that the two Forest Park High School students whose bodies were found Monday night, died in an apparent suicide pact.

The bodies of Desiree M. Patrick, age 17, and Quirinius S. Williams, age 18 of Woodbridge, were found inside Patrick's home along Oakdale Circle in Triangle. That's in Prince William County.

Both Patrick and Williams were found by the girl's father when he came home.

Ruben Aguilar, Williams' stepfather, says both families did not want the kids to be together, and he thought they had broken up months ago.

"We were in the blind about the relationship,"Aguilar said. "That's why this is such a shock."

This is the second child Aguilar will bury.  His four year old daughter Briana died after complications from a medical condition.

"The anniversary of her death is November 7th, and now this," Aguilar says.

He started a foundation in Briana's  honor called "Toys for an Angel"  that provides stuffed toy angels for kids with terminal illnesses.  He hopes to honor his stepson in a similar way and help teenagers in crisis.

Michelle Aguilar says her son was a joy to everyone.  She released the following statement:

Quirinius was a very talented child who was musically inclined. He was such a gifted child and could play any classical composer masterpiece with gracefulness. We loved our child very much and will miss him tremendously, if there is anything that we could relay to other people, we would like to tell everyone that Quirinius had such a loving heart and was adored by all and had a smile that could light up the room. We would like to thank all of the many people who have expressed their sympathy for our loss and who loved Quirinius as well. We have lost a great, gifted son that we shared with many friends, family, teachers, and acquaintantes.  We love you Quirinius and you will be missed!

Irene Cromer, spokesperson for the Prince William County School District, says classes are not in session at Forest Park High School due to elections, however, counselors and a crisis team will be at the school and available to help students who come there for help.

The Prince William County School system released the following statement, which was posted on their website:

The Forest Park High School community is deeply saddened by the tragic death of two students, Desiree M. Patrick and Quirinius S. Williams, on Monday night. Today, November 3, the school counseling center will be open for any students and staff who wish to come in. The center will also be open tomorrow when students return to school.
