Woman Rescued From Car In Creek In Critical Condition

CLINTON, Md. (WUSA)--Prince George's County Fire officials say that at approximately 10 a.m., Saturday, October 24, they found a woman inside a car that was on its roof and in a creek on the 8900 block of Temple Hill Road in Clinton, Maryland.

A Fire Department official says that units were responding to a different call when they were flagged down by a citizen who directed them to the car in the creek.

According to fire officials, the firefighters/medics found a woman in her twenties, who had sustained traumatic injuries, was not breathing and had no pulse. Firefighters puled the woman out of the car, initiated cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). and transported her to a local hospital.

Fire officials say that they could not find any other victims at the scene. A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle left the roadway, striking trees and overturning before landing on its roof in the creek.

It is unknown when this incident occurred and police are seeking anyone that may have witnessed the crash. Officials say the woman is in extreme critical condition.
