ROCKVILLE, Md (WUSA) -- For nearly thirty years, four women have had to worry that the man who raped them was still at large.

Police say they can now stop worrying.

A Montgomery County Grand Jury has just handed up an indictment of Timothy Buzbee in four rapes dating back to 1977.

Buzbee was dubbed the Aspen Hill Rapist, and he terrorized the area in the late 1970s and early 1980s, attacking women as young as 15, in their homes, and on the street; at gunpoint and at knifepoint.

Investigators suspect he may have been involved in dozens of rapes.

He's been in prison in Jessup, Maryland, but he is eligible for parole. Authorities say if he's convicted in these four new cases, he will likely never get out.

Cold case detectives went back to the physical evidence. They were able to extract DNA, and just recently, they were allegedly able to match it to Buzbee.

Investigators went back to the victims, who have agreed to testify. One said it's just like Phillip Garrido and Jaycee Dugard -- the kidnapping, sex slave case out of California. The victim told detectives she didn't want Buzbee to get out and attack anyone else.
