TYSON'S CORNER, Va. (WUSA) -- The millionaire who set off a controversy in the Virginia's governor's race was center stage supporting her candidate today. Black Entertainment Television co-founder Sheila Johnson headlined a rally for Bob McDonnell in Tyson's Corner.

"This race is not only important to Bob McDonnell... but for me, too, personally," Johnson said.

She told the women's rally that she's a democrat who campaigned for both Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and Barack Obama. But this time, switched sides. "I won't waste time or energy letting other people intimidate me because I crossed party lines."

She said, "I did my homework. Bob McDonnell is not only the best candidate for governor, but also the smartest. "

Last week, Sheila Johnson became the center of controversy for making fun of Mcdonnell's opponent Creigh Deeds for his stammering manner of speaking. Today she left so fast she didn't have time to answer questions about it, but McDonnell did.

"Sheila made a comment, she issued an apology, it's time to move on. This race is about jobs, the economy. Sheila meant no harm by it," McDonnell said.

But at a Creigh Deeds campaign office, another Sheila has different opinion. Sheila Cunningham uses a wheelchair.

"I think that comment was totally inappropriate. As a disabled person, I think it's terrible that she was making fun or him for that or putting him down. He shouldn't have those type of people around," Cunningham said.

Mcdonnell says Johnson is an entrepreneur who's created thousands of jobs and has a lot to offer his campaign and the state.
