WASHINGTON (AP) -- Independence Day revelers in the Washington area can call for free cab rides Saturday night instead of getting behind the wheel after a few drinks.
The rides are being offered by the nonprofit Washington Regional Alcohol Program from 4 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday. The number to call is 1-800-200-TAXI.
The rides are offered in the District of Columbia; Prince George's and Montgomery counties in Maryland; and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and eastern Loudoun counties in Virginia.
