Winter Weather Advisory In Effect until Noon

(WUSA)-- The National Weather Service has extended a Winter Weather Advisory to Noon for the suburbs north and west of DC. Farther west, along the I-81 corridor,a Winter Storm Warning is in effect.

Most roads have stayed wet today. Road surfaces are still relatively warm from Monday's milder temperatures and highway departments had a lot of notice of the potentially icy weather, so they've been on top of things.

Temperatures are still borderline and with rain occurring, pockets of freezing rain will still be possible for a little while longer.
