COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police want to question a man who may have information about a cutting that happened in College Park on Saturday evening.
"On August 24, 2013, at about 1:30 am, patrol officers were called to the 4600 block of College Avenue for the report of a cutting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found a man suffering from a laceration to his upper body. The victim is a student at the University of Maryland. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released," police said.
Police say the man seen walking on the left side of the screen in the video may have information about that assault.
"The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and suspect began to argue after encountering each other on College Avenue. The argument became physical, and the two men began fighting. During the fight, the suspect cut the victim with a sharp object. The suspect then ran away," police said.
The suspect, just like the person in the video, was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, police said.
Anyone with information on the man's identity is asked to call the Regional Investigation Division-Northern Region at 301-699-2601.
