WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Neediest Kids non-profit is a special organization that is very close to JC Hayward's heart. Not only because Hayward sits on the board, but also for the work they do for the youngsters in our area.
Neediest Kids partners with ten local school districts, serving more than 21,000 low-income students annually.
CEO and President, Amy Ginsburg joined JC Hayward on Thursday to talk about the organization and its upcoming event.
"We help kids get the basic essentials they need in order to stay in school and succeed in school," explained Ginsburg. " We helped 40,000 students in the DC area last year."
This Sunday, Neediest Kids will be hosting an event "Decadent Delights" at the Carnegie Institution of Washington located at 1530 P Street NW featuring delicious treats and fine wines from around the area.
