WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- You may not be able to see the smartphone of the future, but you can definitely hold it.
A U.S. company based in Taiwan, showed off it's prototype of a transparent cell phone.
Made from conductive glass, the mobile device is scratch and shatter resistant, and slightly bigger than an iPhone 5.
It can only be touch-activated one side, but can display images on the front and back.
The see-through phone is scheduled to be available by the end of the year, no word on how much it will cost.
