TAMPA, Fla. (WTSP) -- Busch Gardens officials tell 10 News the emu being treated for injuries sustained in a vicious dog attack Tuesday died of its injuries Wednesday morning.
Vets say they tried their best to save the emu but say it must have had internal injuries from the attack that ultimately led to its death.
Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies are still trying to determine who owned the emu and the dogs that were running loose when they attacked it.
