Luxury Car Maker Has Banner Sales Year

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Luxury automaker Mercedes is thanking customers for its best year ever.

U.S. sales for its cars rose nearly 12 percent in 2012. 

The company says it sold a record 1.3 million vehicles worldwide.
