WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The singer, guitarist and songwriter who gave us "something to talk about" is 63 years old on Thursday!
Nine-time Grammy winner Bonnie Raitt was born into a musical family (she's the daughter of Broadway singer John Raitt and pianist/singer Marge Goddard), according to her website. She's been playing music since she was 8 years old.

Raitt released her debut album in 1971. Her music became known to a larger audience in the late 1980s and 1990s. She won four Grammy Awards in 1990. The album Luck of the Draw in 1991 contained two of her best-known singles still heard on Top 40 radio today: "Something to Talk About" and "I Can't Make You Love Me."
She is now on her 19th album.
