DUMFRIES, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County police are looking for a man who attempted to rob three women between the ages of 15 and 21 and then assaulted one woman. They have released a composite sketch of the suspect.
According to police, Thursday at approximately 10 p.m. three girls from the Dumfries area were walking along Fuller Heights Road near the intersection of Mockingbird Heights Road when a man stopped them at gunpoint and attempted to rob them. Police say he took one female away from the others and sexually assaulted her.
The man fled when he was police cars approaching the area.
Police say he is described as a black male with light to medium complexion, between 5' 8" to 5' 10" tall and between 18 and 25 years old. He was wearing a bandana or ski mask over his face, a large, dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark colored faded baggy jeans. The handgun he was carrying appeared to be a black and silver, say police.
