In the July 31, which also happened at night, several people who had been playing soccer at Welsh Park were reportedly assaulted after spotting other people going through a bag of their personal belongings. When the soccer players confronted those people, they got into struggle and one of the suspects took out a handgun.
About 30 minutes after the incident at Welsh park, someone reported that he was approached by two suspects while taking out the trash at the College Plaza shopping center. He said he was struck in the face. The suspects had a handgun and took his wallet.
Police later identified the juveniles as the suspects and arrested them without incident.
