WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The Public Service Commission on Wednesday approved a $24 million dollar rate increase for Pepco's District customers.
This means customers will see a monthly increase of $2.40. More than a dozen customers gathered at the Public Service Commission Wednesday to protest the hike.
Pepco originally requested a $42 million dollar rate hike, which would have increased customers bills to over $5 a month.
