BALTIMORE (AP) - A Baltimore police officer has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for trafficking in heroin, a crime prosecutors say he committed while on duty and in uniform.

Forty-one-year-old Daniel Redd of Baltimore was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.

According to his plea agreement, last year Redd met with a co-conspirator to obtain 40 grams of heroin while on duty. Redd also met on the parking lot of the Northwest District Police Station and provided 200 grams of heroin to a co-conspirator while on duty, dressed in full uniform and carrying his service firearm.
