SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA) -- For months we have been telling you about the botched concrete work at the new Silver Spring Transit Center and how it does not meet the county's safety standards, but there's another twist in the ongoing saga.
At a community meeting Monday night, the head of the county's department of general services admitted he has no idea when the facility will open. He says the county still has to decide how it's going to fix the issues. Then, any work won't begin until the spring.
The general contractor on the project says the facility is safe even if it doesn't meet the county's standards.
