WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- D.C. police are looking for a person who committed an assault while holding a gun on Sunday night at the Rite Aid in the 1400 block Rhode Island Avenue, NE.

The person is described as black male 5'8" to 6' tall with a slim build and a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a striped long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

The Metropolitan Police Department has a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the assault.
