WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County Schools spokesperson Irene Cromer says that Vaughan Elementary School was  evacuated as a precaution because a fire alarm went off on Tuesday afternoon.

She says all students and staff are safe and have re-entered the building after being told it was okay by fire officials.

Fire officials are still at the school to try to determine what caused the alarm to go off.
