WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA)-- A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with first degree sexual abuse while armed, according to MPD.

The victim had reported being sexually assaulted Sunday, police said.

Travis Martenez Butler of Northwest, Washington, D.C. was arrested about 10 a.m. Thursday, August 2, for assaulting the victim in the 900 block of Peabody Street, N.W., according to police.

A police investigation led to the arrest of Butler.
