WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The big finale this Independence Day happens tonight on the National Mall. The annual A Capitol Fourth concert will lead into the night's main event: the huge fireworks display.

The concert will be shown on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET. The concert features artists including "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, Megan Hilty of "Smash", Matthew Broderick, Kelli O'Hara, "The Voice" winner Javier Colon, Josh Turner, Kool & The Gang, Amber Riley from "Glee," and more. The show will end with a rendition of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" and cannon fire.
