Kenneth Johnson, charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault in Gaithersburg road rage incident
GAITHERSBURG, Md.. (WUSA) -- A Maryland man is accused of pulling out a rifle and pointing it at another driver during a road rage incident in Gaithersburg.
According to Montgomery County Police, 18-year-old Kenneth Johnson of the Gaithersburg area was arrested on Wednesday for a road rage incident.

On February 8, at 7:20 a.m., officers responded to a call for a road rage incident where a rifle was pointed at the victim. While traveling on Sam Eig Highway between the Inter-County Connector and Great Seneca Highway, the victim and Johnson became involved in a verbal dispute about his driving actions, according to police. At that time the Jackson allegedly pulled a rifle from the back seat of his car and held it like he was going to shoot the victim. When he saw the victim on his cell phone, he fled the area on Sam Eig Highway toward I-270. The victim described his vehicle as a red Honda and gave police the license plate number.
On February 14, Johnson was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault. He was later released on bond.
Officers got a search warrant and searched the Honda. They say they recovered the rifle and other evidence.
