GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA) -- Fire officials say a house fire in Gaithersburg on Friday morning started in the carport and then spread to the house.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene at 7500 block of Julia Terrace at 4:17 a.m. Firefighters were able to knock down the bulk of the fire at the two level single family home in 10 minutes.
Fire officials say it appears all occupants were out of the house when the fire broke out.
Crews continue to hit hot spots, including a liquid fuel fire in the carport, which was possibly coming from a vehicle.
