COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) - Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings is being honored with a service award by the Howard County Center of African American Culture.
Friday's award presentation will come during a program at Howard Community College in Columbia on civil rights issues.
The Democrat is a ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Several Howard County officials and Maryland state lawmakers are expected to attend the event.
