Sheriff's office authorities say that the home invasion happened in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Circle in Waldorf on Jan. 26. They say officers discovered three males with a handgun forced their way into a home and ordered a 65-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman to lie on the floor. One suspects held the victims at gunpoint while the toher suspects stole valuables. Then all three suspects fled.
Officers were able to get a description of the car the suspects were seen leaving the property in and that descriptions matched one from a suspicious vehicle call earlier that morning, say authorities.
When officers went to a home on Proctor Place, officers said they saw the same vehicle. Then shortly after they arrived, officers saw two males walk outside. The officers tried to approach the males but they fled into the woods.
Officers then went on a search for them and the sheriff's office notified nearby North Point High School and Davis Middle schools. The schools went briefly into lockdown mode as a precaution, say authorities. The two men, later identified as Julien Antonio Fort and Quayshaw Deangelo Jenifer of Waldorf, were found a little while later in the area of Proctor Place.
Officers determined that 20-year-old Fort and 20-year-old Jenifer were responsible for the home invasion. Officers found the third suspect, 21-year-old Carterrys Abednega Morgan of Waldorf, hiding under a bed in the Proctor Place residence.
Fort, Jenifer and Morgan were arrested and charged with armed robbery, assault, theft and burglary. They are being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending appearances before a district court commissioner.
Officers were able to recover the stolen property.
