WHITE OAK, Md. (WUSA) -- Three people were arrested after a police chase in Montgomery County early Tuesday morning, police said.
Danielle Robinson, 20, of Landover, Deonte Felton, 18 of Silver Spring and Alex Colin, 18, of Bowie, riding in a car with its headlights out at around 1:30 a.m. on the 11300 block of Lockwood drive, in White Oak, police said.
"The vehicle drove off at a high rate of speed and attempted to elude the officers. After a short chase the vehicle driver lost control and crashed at Industrial Parkway and Columbia Pike. The two rear passengers fled the scene on foot. A handgun and other evidence of criminal activity were found in the vehicle," police said.
The three were arrested for trying to elude police and for having guns in the car.
Felton and Robinson "were both arrested at the scene and are being charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition for a firearm by a minor, and possession of a handgun in a vehicle. Felton was also charged with numerous traffic charges relating from the pursuit. Bond information is unavailable at this time," police said.
Alex Colin "was identified as one of the rear passengers who fled. He was arrested at daybreak near the scene of the collision, and will be charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition for a firearm by a minor, and possession of a handgun in a vehicle. Bond information is unavailable at this time," police said.
Police are still looking for a fourth suspect in the chase.
On January 31st, at 1:26 a.m., officers from the 3rd District attempted to stop a car that was being driven with its headlights off in the 11300 block of Lockwood Drive in White Oak. Felton was also charged with numerous traffic charges relating from the pursuit. Bond information is unavailable at this time.
Alex Colin, age 18, of the 500 block of Jenny Brook Court in Bowie, was identified as one of the rear passengers who fled. He was arrested at daybreak near the scene of the collision, and will be charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition for a firearm by a minor, and possession of a handgun in a vehicle. Bond information is unavailable at this time.
Investigators are continuing to look for the fourth suspect.
Investigators believe these suspects may be involved in other crimes. Many times victims of crimes do not call the police. Investigators are urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a robbery committed by these suspects to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section.
