Man Who Entered DC Rec Center With Stab Wound, Later Died Identified

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- DC Police have identified a man with a stab wound who walked into a rec center and later died.

Police say that 19-year-old Dalontray Williams of Northwest D.C. was suffering from a stab wound to the chest and looking for help when he walked into the Kennedy Recreation Center in the 1500 block of 7th Street around 7 Thursday night.

Paramedics and detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Unit responded to the scene. Police say the man was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say they have determined that the stabbing occured in the 1500 block of Seventh Street NW.
